Q. What is Bronzing/Electroplating?

A. Bronzing also known as Electroplating is a process of covering either wholly or partially , in a protective coating of metal, an item or combination of items. This will either preserve for all time the essence and memory associated with the item or will beautify the item by altering all or part of its surface appearence. The metal coating can be bronze, silver or gold and can be given an antique look depending on the creative choices you make.

Q.What can you bronze?

A. There is virtually no material that we cannot bronze. We currently bronze on a regular basis: plastic car parts and accessories, corporate awards, leather goods, old shoes and boots, fabric, paper, wax, wood, plastic, glass, vegetables – you name it we can bronze it. We are not set up for electroplating on metal.

Q.What else can you bronze/plate?

A. Anything can be coated in metal i.e. bronzed. For example: a Rose or flower from your wedding bouquet, wedding shoes, a champagne bottle or part of a bottle, a cork that reminds you of a special occasion, sugar decorations from a wedding cake, insects, crustaceans, leeks, garlic cloves and so on

A: Yes, even silk lace christening booties

A. Architects, artists, interior designers, model makers, corporations, car manufacturers and car clubs, motor bike clubs, sporting clubs and codes and the film industry.

Q. Do I need to maintain the items once I get home?

A. Finished items are maintenance free and only need to be wiped with a soft dry cloth. In fact, you should never use a cleaner or polish on the items as this will remove the protective lacquer finish.

Q. Do you use real gold?

A. Yes we use 24 k gold.

Q. Do you use silver?

A. We use nickel which allows us to achieve a silver look.

Q.How long does your process take?

A. Our process takes about 3-5 weeks. This process is very specialized and we are the only company in Australia that do this type of work.
