Our History

Our story begins in 1990, when Walter Schellander a qualified metallurgist and electroplater established a business that would soon become the largest bronzing company of non-conductors in  the Southern Hemisphere. We are centrally located in the heart of Castle Hill business district.

Who is Walter

Walter Schellander, a qualified metallurgist and electroplater, worked in Hong Kong for 8 years and was in charge of the South East Asia region for a German company called Schering GmbH prior to setting up The Bronzing Studio in 1990.He has also previously worked in Switzerland for 13 years as a Chemical Engineer in R&D for a Swiss and American Company.

Walter has done high tech applications for companies such as Alcatel, the CSIRO, Sydney Uni and Lyntech who require anything from plating 2-mm of copper onto fibreglass re-enforced resin to nickel coating silicon gel imprint. This is then used in submarine cable coupling devices and mass production applications for medicinal purposes.
